The condition is "if you have significant business profits or a return which is otherwise complicated", then a good tax professional will save you more money than you pay him. The "maybe even worse!" part is where we part company. You're more likely to get into a car accident than you are to get audited or fined and you're more likely to get murdered than you are to get jailed for tax evasion. Agreed with all except the above. If development time is near zero in regard to running a business then it’s not much hassle to develop in an environment that suits the customer rather than yourself.
