Tokyo sucks big time! It's crowded, big ripoff, full of rude people (polite Japanese who stab you in the back when you're not looking). Southern Japan (Kyushu and Okinawa) is the BEST. Beautiful beaches, delicious food. friendly people, rich history, warm climate, less crowded and less expensive. I've been to southern Japan twice and would return in a heartbeat. The highlights were Nagasaki, Kumamoto, Ibusuki. Tokyo, if I never return there before I die, I have no regrets. There are waaay better and prettier cities to visit like Kabul than Tokyo.
