Hello I am currently out of work. I have searched all the job boards more times than thousand times and sent off hundreds of resumes. However, i have not been able to find a single good response to my resumes. If anyone knows about any particular place where i can look for a good job, please reply me with the location details. I will be thankful to you for your early response.

I've been in that situation before. You know what works a little better than self promotion there? Take your pick: doing nothing works fine. Posting a brief note saying "I'm Patrick McKenzie, creator of Bingo Card Creator, and I saw you guys on my referrer logs earlier today. Its always an honor to be noticed by someone. If you have any questions, feel free to email me. Thanks." Just NOTICING people is an astonishingly effective way of bribing them on the Internet, without ever coming across as slimy or self-interested. Alternatively, if you don't like the risks in that, send one email to the guy who started the thread and say "Heya, I saw your thread. Thanks much for the mention." Notes like that turn fans into fans++.

Hi, Patrick.

When I launched my vacation rental listing site last year, I noticed that I was getting a lot of owners signing up from a particular message board. A community member there thought my site was cool and recommended it to others in the forum.

I immediately signed up for an account on that forum and started posting on the thread about my site and how great it was and blah blah blah. You can guess what happened next. The thread was locked, I was banned, and I lost a great source of traffic.

I wish I had read a post like yours before being so impulsive. Thanks for another great read. Keep them coming.
