Posting a brief note saying "I'm Patrick McKenzie, creator of Bingo Card Creator, and I saw you guys on my referrer logs earlier today. Its always an honor to be noticed by someone. If you have any questions, feel free to email me. Thanks." Just NOTICING people is an astonishingly effective way of bribing them on the Internet, without ever coming across as slimy or self-interested. Alternatively, if you don't like the risks in that, send one email to the guy who started the thread and say "Heya, I saw your thread. Thanks much for the mention."
