A bit of late but since someone on HN mentioned your solution after posting mine, I thought I would pay a visit :-)

In your solution, how does wordpress stats or google analytics deals with the REMOTE_ADDR, making sure hits on the blog does not appear to always come from nginx (localhost)? In my solution, I had to use rpaf apache module. But there may be other alternatives that I am not aware of. My solution is described in here

http://blog.rassemblr.com/2011/01/wordpress-need-for-speed-optimization-with-nginx-caching/

By the way, thanks for pointing ThemesPress. This looks very interesting!

Cheers

I think so, Rich, but I have never investigated the matter in much detail.

I suggest using wordpress-mu if you're going to go hog-wild like I did and set up many, many blogs. I've got five active currently and another 15 on the agenda.

I've been planning on doing this myself, another Slicehost customer. It sounds like the instructions would be similar for wordpress-mu? Or not?

I remember your saying earlier that if you were to do it again, you would have picked Wordpress-mu. Given as I am starting with the benefit of your experience, I was hoping to avoid some of your mistakes if I could.
