I understand where you're coming from. Patrick and Ramit are telling you to charge high prices to a small number of customers. And you're thinking: "What about me? Why is this stuff only for the rich?"

The short answer: tiered pricing & market segmentation.

The slightly longer answer: Think about Patrick's first product. It was a bingo card generator. At the time that Patrick started selling his product, there were already lots bingo card generators already available for FREE. $0.00. So why do people pay Patrick? They pay him because they lack the time, or the technical skills needed to find the free version and figure out how to use it.

So it's a trade-off. If you want something cheap, you have to to go and look for it. You have to figure out how to use it. If you don't like the sound of that, Patrick & Ramit will sell you something easy and convenient, but you will have to pay big bucks for it. The choice is yours.

This isn't true for everything, of course, but it IS true for the kinds of products that Patrick & Ramit sell.
